News about the Core Subjects Exams

Did you know the way the new Core Subject exams will be scored is different than the way the Generalist exams are scored? This is directly from the ETS Registration Bulletin: "Your results for each TExES individual subject test (test codes 801–809) for the Core Subjects 4–8 or
EC–6 tests are reported as a score in the range of 100–300, with a total scaled score of 240 as the minimum passing score. Results for each of the overalltests (test codes 211 and 291) Core Subjects 4–8 and EC–6 tests are reported as a pass or not pass, as there is no total scaled score for the overall exam. You must earn a passing score for each individual subject
area in order to pass the overall test."

The Core Subject exams will replace the Generalist exams.
